ITINERARY
Day 1 Christchurch/Dunedin – 380 kms
Travel across the Canterbury Plains on State Highway 1 following the coast to Timaru and Oamaru and then over the Kilmog to Dunedin – the Edinburgh of the south.
We recommend a visit to Larnach Castle or to Olveston (a historic home).

Day 2 Dunedin/Queenstown – 304 kms
This morning we have included a tour of the city by double decker coach.
After lunch travel through rugged central Otago following the mighty Clutha River to Queenstown. This journey follows part of the Otago gold trail and provides opportunities to stop at some of our major hydro- electric dams along the route.

Day 3 Milford Sound with Newmans Coach Lines – 620 kms
Today we do the driving whilst you relax and enjoy one of New Zealand’s alpine marvels.
Travel with Newmans Coach Lines to one of the world’s greatest natural wonders – the Fiordland National Park – a world heritage area. Fiordland is a vaste, remote wilderness of snow-capped mountains, glacial lakes and valleys, fiords, islands, waterfalls and dense forests. Travel to Te Anau and on to the forested Eglinton Valley, through the Homer Tunnel and out into breath-taking Milford Sound. Day 4 Free in Queenstown
Today is a free day for you to enjoy this fabulous resort. We have included the Skyline Gondola ride up to Bob’s Peak for spectacular views of Queenstown. There are dozens of activities from white water rafting, jetboating, bungy jumping, lake cruises, high country sheep station tours and excellent walking trails. There is something for everyone.

Day 5 Queenstown/Mount Cook/Christchurch – 620 kms
Travel north through the Lindis Pass and the MacKenzie Country to Mount Cook.
We recommend a scenic flight over Mt Cook and the glaciers.
From Mount Cook travel to Tekapo for a brief stop at the Church of the Good Shepherd (one of the most photographed churches in the world) before continuing to Christchurch via the Canterbury Plains.
